I bet you’re wondering – What is a Book Course?
Well “Book Courses” are designed for avid and reluctant readers alike, and allow them to receive continuing education credits for books they would already be reading anyways! It’s a win-win.
We have designed our book courses to cover some of the most popular books for a variety of topics, as well as introduce you to important lesser known works.
How do they work?
Step 1) Choose one of our available Book Courses
Step 2) Purchase the book here or borrow from a friend
Step 3) Read the book on your own time, at your own pace
Step 4) Test your knowledge.
You have 3 months from the time you register for the book course to complete the exam. A passing score is 80% or above, and you have three attempts to pass the test.
Step 5) Print your Certificate of Completion
Step 6) Fill out the available CEC form for your association and send it in to get your credits.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What if I’ve already read the book? Do I need to read it again?
Well it’s always good to review before taking the exam to make sure it’s fresh in your mind, but it’s up to you if you feel like you need to re-read before taking the exam.
Is the exam timed?
There is no “timer” but you do need to do the exam in one sitting because if your computer goes to sleep or turns off, your answers will not be saved and you will need to start over. However, you have as long as you need to complete the test otherwise.
